LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Strong storms moving through Louisville and southern Indiana triggered flash flooding, forcing multiple road closures across the region.
A portion of I-264 East closed Monday night due to high water. Heavy rain left a vehicle stalled in standing water near the 11.3 mile marker, blocking lanes for more than an hour before traffic resumed.

The Highlander Fire Protection District reported multiple road closures due to downed power lines.
Greenville
- Pekin Road and Clark Street
- Multiple trees down from the 8600 to 9600 blocks of Voyles Road
Floyds Knobs
- 5100 block of St. Mary’s Road
Jeffersonville
- 2600 block of Coopers Lane — Power lines down
- 3600 block of Hay Market Drive — Tree blocking roadway
New Albany
- Entrance ramp from Spring Street to I-64 East — Closed due to flooding
