KENTUCKY — Police arrested five people following a drug investigation and burglary case at a home in Corbin, according to authorities.
The Corbin Police Department said officers, along with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department and the U.S. Marshals Service, served a federal arrest warrant Friday at a residence on Incline Road.
After taking a woman into custody, officers reported spotting a large quantity of illegal drugs inside the home and secured a search warrant. During the search, police said they recovered methamphetamine, marijuana, narcotic pills, LSD, and drug paraphernalia.
Authorities then carried out a second search warrant linked to a burglary reported on March 25. Investigators said two suspects broke into a home and stole several items, and security footage connected one of the suspects to the same Incline Road residence.
During that search, officers said they found more methamphetamine, a stolen handgun, and a large amount of stolen property.
The five individuals arrested were identified as Nikhil Parlulekar, Nicholas Hammond, Scarlett Wyatt, Wesley Croley, and Victoria Day.
Parlulekar and Hammond each face multiple charges, including first-degree burglary, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, theft of a firearm, drug possession, and drug paraphernalia. Wyatt is charged with trafficking and possession of methamphetamine, along with other drug-related offenses. Croley faces charges of trafficking in a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
Day was arrested on a federal warrant and faces multiple charges, including trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of LSD, marijuana, and other drug-related offenses.
Day was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center, while the other four suspects were taken to the Whitley County Detention Center.
The investigation is ongoing.
