OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) — A motorcyclist was seriously injured Tuesday night after crashing into another car in Owensboro.
Police said the accident happened shortly before 6 p.m. at the intersection of West 2nd Street and Walnut Street. The rider was found unresponsive and suffering from severe injuries.
He was first taken to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital and later airlifted to a Louisville hospital for advanced treatment.
Investigators determined the rider was traveling west on West 2nd Street when he ran a stop light and collided with another vehicle.
The motorcyclist’s current condition remains unknown, while the driver of the car was treated for minor injuries at the hospital.
