LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) — A four-vehicle crash on I-64 East early Wednesday morning left one person injured and caused significant traffic delays.
The crash occurred around 6 a.m., shutting down the left two lanes of the interstate for nearly two hours as police and emergency crews responded.
According to the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD), officers arrived to find four vehicles involved in the collision. One driver was transported to Baptist Health Hospital with injuries described as minor, attributed to airbag deployment, an LMPD spokesperson confirmed.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
As of now, all lanes have reopened to traffic, although the left shoulder remains closed for cleanup and inspection.
