BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A driver died early Friday after hitting an object on Interstate 65, according to the Kentucky State Police (KSP).
Police said they received a call about an injury crash just before 3 a.m. and responded to the scene near the 20.2-mile marker northbound on I-65.
According to investigators, a 2019 Toyota Highlander struck an object in the roadway, disabling the vehicle in the travel lane. Moments later, a northbound semi-truck hit the same object and then collided with the Highlander.
The Warren County Coroner pronounced the Highlander’s driver dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
