LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Steven Lawson, the second of three men convicted in the death of Crystal Rogers, has been moved to a state prison.
Lawson was transferred from the LaRue County Detention Center to the Kentucky State Reformatory in La Grange. He was sentenced to 17 years after being found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with physical evidence in Rogers’ death. The sentence, imposed by Nelson Circuit Judge Charles Simms, does not allow for parole.
On October 1, Lawson’s son, Joseph Lawson, was transferred from the Nelson County Jail to Little Sandy Correctional Complex in Elliott County.
Brooks Houck, Rogers’ boyfriend at the time of her disappearance in July 2015, remains in the Oldham County Jail awaiting assignment to a state correctional facility.
