LAUREL COUNTY, Ky.  – Two people are facing charges after detectives allegedly discovered a bag labeled “definitely not a bag full of drugs” that contained suspected narcotics, according to officials in Laurel County.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office said a detective spotted a suspicious vehicle parked in an employee-only area of a business.

While speaking with the man and woman inside the vehicle, the detective noticed a plastic bag containing what appeared to be narcotics.

During the investigation, the detective also found a second bag inside the vehicle labeled “definitely not a bag full of drugs.” Authorities said that bag also contained additional suspected narcotics.

Officials said 51-year-old Tricia Croley handed the detective a false identification card that belonged to another person. After confirming her actual identity, the detective discovered she had an active outstanding warrant.

Authorities said 48-year-old Damon Bennett was also inside the vehicle. A records check revealed that Bennett likewise had outstanding warrants.

Both were arrested and taken to the Laurel County Corrections Center.
