Man found dead in Kentucky roadway as police investigate

KENTUCKY — Louisville Metro Police are investigating a fatal shooting in the Pleasure Ridge Park neighborhood early Wednesday morning.

According to LMPD, officers responded around 6:18 a.m. to a report of a shooting in the 2600 block of Franklin Avenue in the Third Division. When they arrived, they found a man lying in the roadway next to a vehicle with a gunshot wound.

Police said the victim, believed to be between 25 and 35 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The LMPD Homicide Unit is leading the investigation. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity or any information about a suspect.
