One dead after hit-and-run crash in Kentucky

KENTUCKY — Police in Frankfort are searching for a driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash Monday evening.

According to the Frankfort Police Department, the incident happened just before 7:40 p.m. on April 20 along Lawrenceburg Road near Cook Out.

Investigators said witnesses saw a silver passenger vehicle strike a pedestrian, killing the victim. The driver then fled the scene.

Authorities are asking anyone who was in the area at the time or who may have seen a silver vehicle with recent front-end damage to come forward.

Police have not yet released the victim’s identity.
