KENTUCKY (WSAZ) — Kentucky will introduce a new driver licensing system this summer aimed at improving efficiency and convenience.
Gov. Andy Beshear announced the upgrade during his Team Kentucky update on Wednesday, highlighting a modernized system that includes an online portal to reduce wait times at regional offices and cut down on paperwork.
“This next level licensing effort will build on… we knew appointments were taking too long,” Beshear said.
As part of the transition, all regional driver licensing offices across the state will close on June 4 and 5 to allow for system updates, according to Beshear.
