120+ Jobs Cut as Legacy Supply Chain Closes Kentucky Facilities

Legacy Supply Chain will shut down three facilities in Kentucky, leaving more than 120 workers jobless in June.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A logistics company is set to lay off over 120 workers across Kentucky as it winds down multiple operations.

Illinois-based Legacy Supply Chain is closing two facilities in Louisville — located at 3925 Produce Road and 4000 Buechel Bank Road — along with a third site in Bowling Green at 570 Scotty’s Way.

The layoffs are scheduled for June 6 and are expected to be permanent, according to a WARN notice filed with the state.

In total, around 123 employees will be affected, with most job losses tied to transportation and yard operations roles, including drivers and yard staff, according to Louisville Business First.

The Buechel Bank Road facility accounts for the largest number of layoffs, including yard drivers, gate administrators, and supervisors. The Produce Road site includes dispatchers and Class A drivers, while the Bowling Green location employs a smaller group of drivers.

Legacy Supply Chain has not disclosed a reason for the closures or said whether operations will be relocated elsewhere.
