KENTUCKY — One person has died and several others were injured following a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 24 in Christian County, according to Kentucky State Police.

Troopers said the crash occurred Saturday near the 86-mile marker and involved three eastbound vehicles.

Authorities confirmed one fatality and multiple injuries. Two passengers were airlifted from the scene with serious injuries.

The victim was identified as 39-year-old Elizabeth Lubke of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She was taken to a hospital in Tennessee, where she later died on Tuesday.

Police said the second passenger who was airlifted is expected to recover.

The crash remains under investigation.
