KENTUCKY (WFIE) — Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear has approved $6.5 million in funding to improve bridges across the state.

The funding will support projects in two cities and eight counties, including one in the Tri-State region.

Beshear said just over $420,000 will go to Union County to replace the William Ball Road bridge.

Officials have not yet released a timeline for the project.

Beshear said the investment helps strengthen infrastructure while supporting economic growth. “By doing this, we are supporting commerce, tourism and job creation in these communities for years to come.”
