Crews are preparing to demolish half of the bridge that carries Interstate 71 South traffic over Interstate 264.
The closures in the area will start at 8 p.m. Friday and last until 5 a.m. Monday. During that time, drivers will not be able to take the Watterson Expressway to I-71 South or travel from I-71 South to the Watterson Expressway.
Drivers also will not be able to continue on I-71 North past that area. Motorists will need to follow posted detours, turn around, or choose an alternate route.
