Several school districts have chosen remote instruction for March 2 as a wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain moves through parts of Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the National Weather Service in Louisville said minor travel impacts are possible as the fast-moving system passes through the region. As a result, officials from Oldham County Schools and Shelby County Public Schools announced plans to close.
