LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Metro Police have arrested a third person in connection with a December “revenge” murder in southwest Louisville.

A 17-year-old male has been charged with murder, robbery, and tampering with physical evidence in the Dec. 20 shooting death of 20-year-old Milton Ritchie. Because the suspect is a juvenile, his name has not been released. The arrest marks the third in Ritchie’s killing.

Last month, Daontez Hodges, 19, was arrested and charged with murder, robbery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and unlawful transaction with a minor.

The shooting occurred on the afternoon of Dec. 20 in the 3000 block of Fordhaven Road, off St. Anthony Church Road near Pleasure Ridge Park. Officers found Ritchie outside a vehicle in a ditch with gunshot wounds. Investigators determined he had been shot in the neck and lower back.

Court documents state that Ritchie had been invited to meet a 15-year-old girl. When he arrived, he was met by the girl, Hodges, and several others. Police say Hodges then fired two shots from a rifle, killing Ritchie.

Investigators determined the 15-year-old girl was involved in a “revenge” plot that included stealing Ritchie’s car after the shooting. Police say she contacted Hodges to alert him when Ritchie arrived. Court records also note that 911 callers and witnesses reported a large crowd was present at the scene.

The girl was arrested several days after the shooting and is charged with complicity to murder and robbery.

Hodges remains lodged at Louisville Metro Corrections on a $1 million cash bond.
