LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) — A section of Preston Highway will remain closed until Saturday morning after a traffic accident brought down power lines.
Louisville Metro Emergency Services said the closure runs between East Indian Trail and Vinewood Road.
MetroSafe confirmed to WAVE that reports of a crash came in around 5:21 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16. At least one person was taken to the hospital. Officials have not released the cause of the crash or how many vehicles were involved.
LG&E crews are on scene working to repair the damaged lines.
An estimated time for reopening has not yet been announced.
