LOUISVILLE, Ky. — At least two people were injured in a four-vehicle crash on the Gene Snyder Freeway in southwest Jefferson County on Wednesday evening.

According to TRIMARC, the crash happened just before 5 p.m. near Fairdale. All westbound lanes of the Gene Snyder Freeway past New Cut Road were temporarily closed as crews responded to the scene, causing traffic backups in the area.

MetroSafe reported two people suffered minor injuries. By 6:15 p.m., all westbound lanes had reopened and traffic was moving again.
