KENTUCKY — A 93-year-old man died after a two-vehicle crash Saturday evening in Knox County, according to Kentucky State Police.
Troopers said they responded around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20, to a collision on U.S. 25-E. A preliminary investigation found that a tractor-trailer crossed the southbound lane and stopped in the median while attempting to merge into the northbound lane.
Police said the driver’s side of the trailer remained blocking the southbound lane, where a Toyota Prius crashed into it.
The Prius driver, identified as 93-year-old Crit Moses, was transported by Knox County EMS and later airlifted to the University of Kentucky Hospital with critical injuries. Authorities said Moses later died from injuries sustained in the crash and the Fayette County Coroner’s Office pronounced him dead.
Kentucky State Police said the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
