“May Alain’s memory be a blessing,” Greenberg said in a Facebook post.

Colina is the 15th person to die as a result of the crash.

“Let’s pray for these families today and in the days, months, and years to come so they know they are not alone and they are loved,” Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said in a post on X.

According to the National Transportation Safety Board, UPS Flight 2976 had three people on board and was attempting to depart from Louisville’s SDF airport when it lost an engine and crashed during takeoff.

The McDonnell Douglas MD-11, built in 1991, went down around 5:15 p.m. on Nov. 4 after its left wing caught fire. The aircraft was fully fueled for a nine-hour flight from UPS Worldport to Honolulu.

The crash struck at least two nearby businesses and triggered a fireball that spread to surrounding properties, Mayor Craig Greenberg said.
