LOUISVILLE, Ky. — An 18-year-old McDonald’s employee was arrested early Thursday after allegedly pointing a gun at customers inside a downtown Louisville restaurant.
Police said they responded around 1:30 a.m. to the McDonald’s located at 301 University Boulevard, near South Floyd Street.
According to the arrest report, three customers told officers they were ordering food and admitted to being “a little loud” when employee Gregory White allegedly pulled out a gun, racked the slide, and pointed it at them.
When officers tried to detain him, White resisted arrest, swinging at one officer and briefly putting another in a headlock, police said. One officer suffered minor cuts to the arms.
Although no firearm was found on White at the scene, he later admitted to handing the gun to someone who left before officers arrived. He acknowledged racking the slide but denied pointing the weapon at anyone — a claim a witness disputed.
White was booked into Louisville Metro Corrections around 2:15 a.m. and is scheduled to appear in arraignment court on October 31.
