Shively Police Seek Person of Interest in Hit-and-Run That Seriously Injured Bicyclist

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The Shively Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a person of interest connected to a hit-and-run crash that left a bicyclist seriously injured last week.

Police said the incident occurred around 11 a.m. on Oct. 21 in the 3900 block of 7th Street Road, near the Southland Terrace shopping center. Officers arrived at the scene to find the bicyclist suffering from severe injuries, while the driver involved had fled the area.

Investigators have since obtained surveillance video showing a man near the scene, whom they now want to question. The man is being treated as a person of interest, according to the department’s news release.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the man or the crash to contact the Shively Police Department at 502-448-6181, or leave an anonymous tip by calling 502-930-2SPD (502-930-2773).
