Kissimmee Woman Claims $10M Powerball Prize At Florida Lottery Office

A Kissimmee resident has claimed a $10 million prize from a recent Powerball drawing, the Florida Lottery announced.

Noemi Figuerda purchased the winning ticket for the May 2, 2026 drawing and went to the lottery’s Orlando District Office on May 8 to claim her prize. She chose to collect the prize as a single lump sum payment of $4,488,330.34.

The winning ticket was purchased from La Caribena Grocery & Restaurant, located at 131 Buena Ventura Boulevard in Kissimmee.

According to lottery officials, Powerball ticket sales have raised more than $3.37 billion for Florida education programs since the state entered the game in 2009. Florida is one of the nation’s highest-volume Powerball states, having awarded more than $4.09 billion across 159 million winning tickets, including 18 grand prize jackpots.

The next Powerball drawing is set for Monday, August 17, at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time, with an estimated prize of $35 million. To participate, players must purchase tickets by 10:00 p.m. ET.

Drawings are broadcast live in high definition from the Florida Lottery studio in Tallahassee and streamed online through the lottery’s official website and YouTube channel. Winning numbers are available online, via the Florida Lottery mobile app, at participating stores, and by calling (850) 921-PLAY.
