GEORGETOWN, Ky. — Jennifer Ney, a Scott County resident, faces drug trafficking charges after allegedly claiming she was transporting drugs to the sheriff’s office in exchange for a PlayStation console.

Police stopped Ney on Interstate 75 Monday night after reports that she was driving slowly and drifting between lanes. During the traffic stop, officers say Ney tried to hide suspected drug baggies in her sweater and they also found a large amount of cash in her vehicle.

Ney reportedly told police she believed she would receive a PlayStation for delivering the drugs to the sheriff’s office.

She was arrested and charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence. The investigation is ongoing.
