A Bogue Chitto woman was killed Tuesday in a single-vehicle accident on Apple Trail SW in Lincoln County.
A 2006 Subaru Outback was going south on Apple Trail between Auburn Drive and Springfield Trail when it off the road and overturned around 5:45 p.m., according to Sheriff Steve Rushing.
The 14-year-old passenger was taken to King’s Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven for treatment of possibly minor injuries. Samantha Jean Coghlan, 32, died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash, according to Coroner Blake Wallace.
The accident included no other vehicles or people, and it is still being investigated, according to Sheriff Rushing.
