LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – A Kentucky woman has filed a lawsuit against a Lexington pie shop and restaurant, alleging she became seriously ill from salmonella-contaminated pie.
According to court documents, Kathy Sears fell ill last June after eating at Missy’s Pie Shop. She was hospitalized days later and diagnosed with salmonella.

The lawsuit states that Sears later learned several others were also diagnosed with salmonella after consuming pies made and sold by Missy’s and Ramsey’s.
Ramsey Enterprises and Missy’s Pie Shop have not yet responded to the complaint.
