Boat owners in Kentucky now have a more convenient way to renew their vessel registration.
FRANKFORT, Ky. (KFVS) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced that starting April 1, boat owners can skip visiting their local county clerk’s office and renew their registration online.
To complete the online renewal, boat owners must provide their Kentucky boat (KY) number and the vessel’s title number. The registration must still be active and set to expire this year to qualify.
Boat property taxes must also be paid at the time of renewal.
Those who prefer can still renew their boat registration in person at their local county clerk’s office.
