KENTUCKY — The Glasgow Police Department has announced a series of traffic safety checkpoints set to take place throughout April across the city.
According to officials, checkpoints are planned along Columbia Avenue, West Main Street, North Jackson Highway, and Happy Valley Road.
Police noted that checkpoints will not be limited to these locations and may also be conducted on other roads throughout Glasgow.
Officers will focus on enforcing laws related to driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, as well as checking driver’s licenses, vehicle registration, insurance, seat belt use, child restraints, and vehicle equipment compliance.
Authorities said the checkpoints are part of ongoing efforts to enhance road safety and ensure drivers follow state traffic laws.
