JEFFERSONVILLE, Indiana — Power has been restored after an outage in downtown Jeffersonville affected hundreds of customers Tuesday afternoon.
Duke Energy reported that more than 1,100 customers in the southeast part of the city lost power.
By 4 p.m., electricity had been restored to nearly all affected customers.
A Duke Energy spokesperson said the outage was caused when a fiberoptic line became tangled with one of the company’s electrical lines, bringing down a power line.
Because of the outage, Parkview Middle School canceled theater, band, and detention activities for Tuesday.
