LOUISVILLE, Ky. — AXN Automotive Systems is expanding its footprint in Kentucky with the grand opening of its newly relocated and enlarged Louisville facility, marking an investment of nearly $15 million and the addition of 10 full-time jobs.

The milestone highlights ongoing growth in Kentucky’s advanced manufacturing sector, as state and local leaders joined company officials to mark the occasion. Senior Advisor Rocky Adkins attended on behalf of Governor Andy Beshear.

The new facility, located on National Turnpike in Louisville, boosts AXN’s production capacity through the integration of advanced manufacturing technologies. Enhancements include robotic welding cells for precise axle production, a new industrial paint booth to improve durability and finish quality, and upgraded material handling and inspection systems to strengthen quality control. Existing equipment was also relocated and optimized to improve workflow within the new layout.

Headquartered in Louisville, AXN Automotive Systems supplies high-performance undercarriage systems for heavy-duty trailers, trucks, and off-road equipment. Established in 2009, the company produces axles, suspensions, and aftermarket components while investing in emerging technologies such as nanotechnology and electrified axle systems. AXN is part of the global Randoncorp portfolio, positioning it for continued growth across North America.

Company leaders said the investment reflects a broader commitment to expanding U.S.-based manufacturing and advancing product innovation. The upgraded facility is expected to enhance efficiency, increase production capacity, and meet growing demand across transportation and logistics sectors.

State and local officials described the project as a reflection of Kentucky’s strong business environment, skilled workforce, and strategic location. They noted that investments like AXN’s strengthen Louisville’s role as a center for advanced manufacturing and logistics while creating new opportunities for workers in the region.

With operations now underway, AXN Automotive Systems is set to continue its growth, supporting both regional economic development and the future of advanced vehicle systems manufacturing.
