LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Waste collection services in Louisville are returning to their regular schedule this week.

City officials confirmed that trash pickup will resume as planned on Tuesday after crews canceled service on Monday due to lingering snow conditions.

Between Saturday and Sunday, Louisville received between 5 and 10 inches of snow, covering much of the city in a thick blanket.

Louisville Waste Management stated that it is reviewing options to address the two missed collection days, which included Saturday. Officials said they will share updates as soon as they become available.

The Waste Reduction Center, located at 636 Meriwether Avenue, will also operate on its normal schedule starting Tuesday.

However, recycling sites will remain closed on Tuesday. Officials asked residents to avoid using unstaffed drop-off locations until crews clear them and services resume.
