LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The liquor license for the American Legion Post on Greenwood Avenue has been suspended following a shooting inside the bar early on New Year’s Day.
Police say the incident occurred around 2 a.m., when a 50-year-old woman was shot. She was taken to the hospital with injuries described by LMPD as “critical and life-threatening.” Authorities have not provided an update on her condition.
Yellow stickers have been placed on the bar’s doors, ordering the cessation of all alcohol sales. Homicide detectives are handling the ongoing investigation.
