The closure will allow crews to complete remaining work, including bridge deck replacement, concrete repairs, and installation of new barrier walls.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — An Interstate 65 ramp to downtown Louisville will be closed overnight this week.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said the I-65 South off-ramp bridge at Exit 136C to Jefferson Street will shut down starting Friday at 7 p.m. and is expected to reopen at 1 p.m. the following day.

Crews will use the closure to finish remaining work tied to the project, including bridge deck replacement, concrete repairs, and installing new barrier walls.

Officials said crews began the project after routine inspections found the bridge safe but in need of maintenance. Once completed, the bridge will return to its standard weight-carrying capacity.

Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and take alternate routes during the closure.
