KENTUCKY — Northbound lanes on Interstate 75 in Northern Kentucky will be restricted for several hours Thursday after a crash involving a tractor-trailer damaged part of a bridge.
The crash happened on I-75 beneath the Interstate 275 overpass near Erlanger. Authorities said the accident caused damage to the bridge structure, prompting officials to reduce northbound traffic lanes while crews assess and clear the area.
Erlanger police are urging drivers traveling through the area to plan ahead and consider alternate routes, as the lane restrictions are expected to cause delays.
Officials have not released details about what caused the crash, and it was not immediately clear if anyone was injured. The extent of the bridge damage also remains unknown.
Traffic officials said the lane reductions are expected to remain in place for several hours while crews investigate the crash and evaluate the condition of the bridge.
