GRAYSON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Beaver Dam man is now in custody at the Grayson County Detention Center following a pursuit involving the Kentucky State Police, according to a press release.
The release states that Friday afternoon, troopers from Post 4 spotted a man riding a black Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Owensboro Road in Grayson County without a visible license plate. When troopers attempted a traffic stop, the motorcyclist allegedly fled, prompting a pursuit.
Officers did not arrest the driver at the time of the chase.
Authorities later identified the motorcyclist as 49-year-old Ronald H. Geary, who had multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest.
Kentucky State Police located and arrested Geary on Saturday without incident. Officials lodged him at the Grayson County Detention Center, where he remains.
In connection with the pursuit, Geary faces charges including first-degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, speeding 26 miles per hour or more over the limit, operating on a suspended or revoked license, failure to signal or improper signal, improper display of registration plates, improper passing, reckless driving, and speeding in a restricted zone.
Geary also had outstanding warrants from Ohio County, including flagrant non-support, first-degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), second-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, first-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot), operating an off-road vehicle on public or private land without consent, and failure to appear on a speeding charge of 15 miles per hour over the limit.
In addition, Warren County issued warrants for Geary on charges of speeding 21 miles per hour over the limit on a limited access highway, operating on a suspended or revoked license, failure to signal or improper signal, reckless driving, and following another vehicle too closely.
