LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) — A death investigation is underway in downtown Louisville, according to Louisville Metro Police.
MetroSafe initially received a report of a shooting around 6:30 a.m. Friday, though investigators are still working to determine exactly what occurred.
Officers were dispatched to the area of South Brook and Gray Street near the I-65 overpass and Norton Hospital.
LMPD said an individual was found at the scene and was pronounced dead. MetroSafe confirmed that the coroner has been requested.
The Louisville Metro Police Department’s Homicide Unit is leading the investigation.
