RICHMOND, KY — A Weldon man died earlier this week after an accident on Eastern Kentucky University’s campus.
The Madison County Coroner’s Office confirmed that 61-year-old Edwin Burton II was killed when the air conditioning unit he was working on fell on him. The incident occurred on September 30 in the basement of Telford Hall at EKU in Richmond.
The Eastern Kentucky University Police Department is conducting the initial investigation, after which the Occupational Safety and Health Administration will review the case.
