Six Central Ohio men have been convicted in a federal case involving the trafficking of at least 17 firearms, including weapons converted to fully automatic.
Between May and November 2025, the US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives conducted an investigation against these men.
One of the six, Khalid Dorsey, 21, faces ten years in prison after pleading guilty to possessing and transferring a machinegun in federal court on Monday.
Dorsey admitted to trafficking a pistol with an attached Glock switch near Dirty Frank’s on North Fourth Street on September 16, 2025, together with co-defendant Rashied Houston, 23.
Houston just pled guilty to owning and transferring a machine gun. Prosecutors claimed Houston allegedly sold two more rifles with associated conversion devices that made them fully automatic.
The case’s principal defendant, 57-year-old William Turner, pled guilty in June to distributing cocaine and trafficking at least six guns. He also arranged handgun transactions with co-defendants Robert Phillips, 45, and Jeffrey Perry, 62.
The final defendant, Kevin Fowler, 55, pled guilty in March to illegally possessing a firearm as a previously convicted felon after selling at least two firearms.
At a later hearing, the court will decide how to sentence all of the defendants.
