Illinois Lottery players stretch five Lucky Day Lotto jackpots across the state in just over a week, winning a total of $1.25 million.
The winning tickets were purchased or played online between Labor Day weekend and September 12 in St. Charles, Chicago, Crete, and Rochelle. The run includes a $550,000 jackpot in St. Charles, a $100,000 online win, a $200,000 ticket sold in Chicago, and two further $200,000 tickets purchased in Crete and Rochelle that matched the same five numbers in the midday drawing on September 12.
The winning Lucky Day Lotto tickets were purchased at Shell (307 W. Main St., St. Charles), Tony’s Fresh Market (2500 N. Central Ave., Chicago), Circle K (1400 E. Steger Road, Crete), Love’s Travel Stop (400 Steward Road, Rochelle), and online.
The first ticket, which matched all five numbers — 8, 9, 15, 33, and 38 — won the game’s $550,000 prize in the midday drawing on Friday, September 4.
In the Friday, September 4, evening drawing, an online player matched all five numbers — 3, 12, 19, 32, and 35 — to win the $100,000 jackpot, as well as $17 in secondary prizes on the same ticket.
A ticket purchased at Tony’s Fresh Market matched all five numbers — 1, 4, 20, 24, and 27 — in the midday drawing on Sunday, September 6, winning a $200,000 jackpot plus $2 in additional prizes.
The two most recent winning tickets, purchased at Circle K and Love’s Travel Stop, matched the same five numbers (14, 19, 27, 38, and 43) in the Saturday, September 12 midday drawing. Each ticket won the $200,000 jackpot.
The Illinois Lottery will award Shell in St. Charles a $5,500 bonus, while Tony’s Fresh Market, Circle K, and Love’s Travel Stop will each receive a $2,000 incentive. The bonuses are equal to 1% of the prize value for each winning ticket sold by a shop.
Lucky Day Lotto is a draw game that only runs in Illinois and has two drawings every day.
According to the Illinois Lottery, almost 7 million winning Lucky Day Lotto tickets were sold this year, with players statewide earning more than $41 million.
Players can look up winning numbers on the Illinois Lottery app or at IllinoisLottery.com. The Lucky Day Lotto winner has one year from the drawing date to redeem their prize. Officials with the Illinois Lottery encourage winners to sign the back of their tickets and keep them in a safe location until they are ready to claim them.
