Attorney General Lynn Fitch said that seven victims were recovered in Southaven following a national human trafficking investigation.
The operation was carried out on September 10, 2026. Mississippi Attorney General’s Office investigators and prosecutors collaborated with state and local law enforcement partners, including Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC), the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office, and the Southaven Police Department.
In addition to law enforcement partners, Transformation Garden, the Mississippi Coalition Against Human Trafficking, and Tabernacle Southaven provided resources and therapy to the victims found during the operation.
According to Fitch, Operation Coast to Coast began in 2024 as an initiative of the Human Trafficking Training Center (HTTC) to generate a national response to human trafficking. Nationally, the September 10 operation resulted in the retrieval of 79 victims, including 5 underage victims, and 125 arrests in 22 states.
