17-year-old boy shot and wounded in Chicago’s Chatham neighborhood

A 17-year-old boy was hospitalized early Monday after being shot in Chicago’s Chatham neighborhood.

At 1:36 a.m., police said the teen was strolling in the 700 block of East 92nd Place when he heard gunshots and felt pain.

He had been shot in the buttocks and was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition.

There was no mention of any arrests Monday morning. Calumet Area cops were investigating.
