A Massachusetts woman won a large sum of money on a State Lottery scratch ticket, and she already has plans for her newfound fortune.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Lori Morales of Springfield has won the first $15 million grand prize in the “$15,000,000 Magnificent Millions” $30 scratch ticket game.
Morales chose the cash option for her reward, receiving a one-time payment of $9,750,000 (before taxes). She intends to utilize the proceeds to support family members and buy a new house.
The winning ticket was purchased at Cumberland Farms, 1061 Memorial Dr., Chicopee. The retailer will receive a $50,000 bonus for selling this ticket.
There are two unclaimed $15 million grand prizes and eight $1 million prizes left in the “$15,000,000 Magnificent Millions” scratch ticket game.
