A 72-year-old Centre County man has pleaded guilty to financially exploiting an elderly family member for over $50,000 over a two-year period.
Neil W. Taylor, whose last known residence was Bellefonte, entered the pleas on Tuesday before Clinton County President Judge Craig P. Miller.
According to the Clinton County District Attorney’s Office, Taylor frequently accessed the family member’s financial accounts between 2022 and 2023, depriving the victim of more than $50,000.
Taylor pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal identity theft, third-degree felony theft by unlawful taking, and third-degree felony financial exploitation of an elderly or cared-for person.
Woodward Township Police Chief Steven Falotico investigated the incident and filed charges.
Taylor is due to be sentenced in October.
