Police in Aventura arrested a man who they claimed led them on a chase through a crowded shopping mall.
Officers eventually stated they arrested Yordan Soublett Herrera, 33, inside an Aventura Mall parking garage.
The incident happened at 6:30 p.m. on August 14.
Soublett Herrera was caught on video fleeing police and hiding under cars in an attempt to avoid arrest.
During his attempt to flee from police, officers said Soublett Herrera collided with and knocked over innocent bystanders before going down an escalator while aggressively tossing stolen property.
Officials stated Soublett Herrera, who is on felony probation for theft, has a long criminal history, including multiple prior theft convictions, five felony convictions, and an active no bond felony theft warrant out of Broward County.
