Suspect detained after Las Vegas woman found dead on sidewalk

A suspect who was already in unrelated charges has been rebooked for murder in connection with the shooting death of a woman discovered on a Las Vegas sidewalk last month.

Oscar Perez, 40, has been rebooked in the Clark County Detention Center for Friday, August 21, 2026, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Perez is charged with open murder, conspiracy murder, purchasing, possessing, or receiving stolen items valued between $25,000 and $100,000, owning or possessing a firearm by a prohibited person, and discharging a firearm within a structure or vehicle in a forbidden area.

The July Homicide

The arrest arises from an inquiry that began early on July 9, 2026.

Around 3:14 a.m., LVMPD Communications got a report of an unresponsive female lying on the sidewalk in the 1200 block of North Eastern Avenue.

Responding cops discovered the woman laying on the ground with what were initially described as unknown facial injuries. Medical officials pronounced her dead at the site.

An investigation from the Clark County Coroner’s Office later confirmed that the victim had been shot.

She was recognized as 41-year-old Lucy Robledo.

Police have not revealed the motivation or if Perez and Robledo knew each other.
