A Mississippi couple was killed and another person was injured in a crash Wednesday night.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol reported that George Walker Jr., 68, and Brenda Walker, 65, both of Woodville, Mississippi, were killed in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 61 around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
According to MHP, Justin Clark, 34, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was driving a 2011 Ford Explorer north when it collided with the Walkers’ 2014 Nissan Rogue.
The collision occurred when the Nissan Rogue was travelling south and attempted to turn left on the highway.
Both George Walker Jr and Brenda Walker died as a result of their injuries in the crash.
Clark was transferred to a local hospital for injuries sustained in the incident.
MHP is currently investigating this occurrence.
