Missing girl located during Lucas County traffic stop, sheriff credits Flock cameras

The Lucas County Sheriff says the use of Flock cameras helped locate a missing girl over the weekend.

According to a statement issued by Sheriff Mike Navarre on Monday, an endangered missing girl from Belmont County was reunited with her family after law enforcement personnel conducted a traffic stop using Flock cameras.

According to the sheriff’s office, officials employed license plate scanners to trace a suspect’s car, which resulted in a traffic stop on July 25 at Angola and Holland Sylvania.

A deputy forced the driver to exit the vehicle and kept him until Toledo police arrived.

The missing girl from Belmont County was discovered inside the vehicle. She has since been reunited with her family.

Authorities did not release the driver’s name or say whether he is facing any charges.

Additional information about the incident is unclear.
