The first $1 million prize from a $10 scratch ticket game was claimed by a woman from Shirley this month.
Mary Dickhaut of Shirley won $1 million playing the “100X” scratch ticket game. The game costs $10 per ticket and was released in June 2025.
As of July 21, the game still has eight $1 million prizes available, as well as all three $4 million top prizes.
Dickhaut chose the cash option when she claimed her prize on July 7, receiving a lump sum payment of $650,000 before taxes. She informed Massachusetts State Lottery officials that she intends “to have some fun” with the winnings.
Dickhaut purchased the winning ticket at M&M Convenience, situated at 1 Front St. in Shirley. The retailer will be awarded a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
