A Florida woman won the $2,500 A Week For Life scratch-off game from the lottery.
Cynthia Price of Beverly Hills, Florida, won the top prize of $2,500 in the Florida Lottery’s A Week For Life scratch-off game.
The Citrus County woman chose to receive her prize in a single, lump-sum payment of $1,949,000.
The Central Florida winner bought her winning ticket from 7-Eleven, which is located at 3045 W. Norvell Bryant Highway in Lecanto, Citrus County.
She collected her grand prize at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.
For just $5, players can win big with the $2,500 A Week For Life scratch-off game, which included four top prizes of $2,500 every week for life, totaling more than $106.2 million in cash prizes. According to the Florida Lottery, only one top reward remains.
The game’s overall chances of victory are 1 in 3.96.
Scratch-off games are a key part of the Lottery’s range of games, accounting for over 74% of ticket sales in fiscal year 2023-2024. Furthermore, since their establishment, scratch-off games have paid out more than $70.8 billion in prizes, created 2,475 millionaires, and raised more than $20.98 billion for the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund.
The Florida Lottery is responsible for more than $49 billion in education funding and sending over 983,000 students to college through the Bright Futures Scholarship Program. The Florida Lottery reinvests 99 percent of its revenue back into the state’s economy through prize payouts, commissions to over 13,550 Lottery merchants, and educational transfers. Since 1988, Florida Lottery games have given out over $104.8 billion in prizes, making more than 4,475 millionaires.
