Several people, including three children, were sent to the hospital after a truck collided with at least ten vehicles in Silver Spring on Saturday, according to the Montgomery County Department of Police.
At 1:43 p.m., the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) responded to reports of a multi-vehicle crash on Columbia Pike and Fairland Road.
Firefighters rescued several people who were stuck inside their vehicles, and photos from the scene revealed a Tesla Cybertruck that had been split in half after the collision.
Police said an initial investigation revealed that a moving truck lost control and collided with numerous vehicles.
MCFRS said that 18 persons were evaluated, with 10 taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
According to firefighters, NB 29 at Musgrove Road was momentarily closed but has since reopened.
